The BlackBerry Curve is an upgraded version of the entry-level BlackBerry Curve 8520, offering 3G connectivity, an optical trackpad and a business-friendly appearance and full QWERTY keyboard that BlackBerry users have grown accustomed to.

Like all BlackBerry phones, the 9300ís keyboard is the main feature, with well spaced and fair sized keys. The 2.46 inch screen offers a fair 320×240 pixel TFT display. Below the screen you will find the call/send keys and the menu and back buttons. These are all proper buttons that provide a proper click. The optical trackpad in the centre is responsive and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. The phone features convenience keys on either side of the phone with voice dialling on the left and the camera on the right. These convenience keys can be changed to allow for any shortcut the user chooses.

The main menu on the 9300 is simple and allows for quick access to any application. The home screen offers an easy to navigate screen with customisable icons on the lower half of the screen making it easy to access your favourite applications.

Messaging is at the top of the list on a BlackBerry and the 9300 is no different. Over and above BlackBerry Messenger, users can have up to ten email accounts with support for push email. The email interface is easy to use and time efficient. Sending and SMS is straightforward and can be integrated with email messages in a single folder along with BBM instant messages.
BlackBerry Messenger is an instant messaging client that is exclusive to BlackBerry handsets and allows users to instantly communicate with other BlackBerry users with text, voice and pictures. This instant messaging is free to users and is included in the BlackBerry services.

Social networking on the 9300 is simple and accessible with focussed Facebook and Twitter apps for all your social media needs including uploading photos from the phone, instant notifications of messages, and keeping up to date.

The BlackBerry web browser allows users to browse the internet, zoom in on pages for more details and save and access bookmarks,

To ensure the BlackBerry Curve 9300 is not only for business, the handset offers a sprinkling dedicated media buttons along the top of the phone which enable switching of tracks without the need to take the device out of a holster or pocket, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. The music player offers great quality sound with or without the headphones and a simple and attractive user interface.
Pictures are viewed easily in the gallery and can be sent via email, BBM, MMS simply and instantly with a 2mp camera offering decent quality photos.

One of the more notable features of the BlackBerry Curve 9300 is the battery life. The phone boasts up to 4 hours talk time and 29 hours of music play. This long battery life coupled with the BlackBerry applications, social networking capabilities and simple usability makes it an ideal phone for all users.
