MTN packages are divided into 3 groups, MTN Anytime, MTN Off-peak and the Top Up option.
With MTN Anytime, you get great flexibility. This range of contracts includes airtime value that adapts to fit the way you use your cell phone to call, sms or browse the internet.
MTN Off-Peak cell phone contracts offer customers lower rates on off peak hours. This type of contract is best if you don’t use your cell phone very often – you can manage your usage to within off peak hours and save yourself a bundle!
The MTN Top up Option is available on all contract packages and gives you better control over your budget with the added benefit of allowing you to add to your airtime as you go. This is best if your usage is not consistent, if you are on a tight budget, or if you are visiting the country and don’t want to waste money on a contract you aren’t using.
MTN offers a few other types of contracts for the iPhone 5, although you may need to contact them directly to see what is available at the time you call- occasionally they run specials where you can get phone contracts which also include laptops or tablets or similar gadgets, so keep an eye out for those!
If you are considering different service providers, it’s probably good to go with one of the larger networks, like Cell C, MTN or Vodacom. The bigger the network, the more reliable and trustworthy the contract – you don’t want to be left in the lurch without a phone!
Before making any commitments or signing any contracts, remember to always read through them carefully and make sure you understand everything thoroughly! If there is something you don’t understand, don’t be afraid to ask questions! Networks are always eager to help people out – even if you’re still deciding what package to go with, they are the experts, so they are the best people to ask.
Although looking through all the different phone packages available, it is worth it in the end. A phone like the iPhone is definitely worth the effort and you’re guaranteed to love it right from the start!
